& then Interpol was about to come on.
and Marissa had squeezed her way in against the rail, because like me,
she is obsessive enough to endure all the crushing against the rail. we are
hardcore. no seriously, we really are. before Interpol comes on, I feel a
tapping on my shoulder & it's Allison and she's made her way almost to
the front. which is good cuz I know how much she loves Interpol too.
goddamn, she took some hot pictures. anyway. Interpol comes on the stage, and from then on, all my injuries just fade away and i could give a shit less, because I am seeing one of my favorite bands in the whole world. Paul comes on stage smoking a cigarette, and that just in itself is enough to melt a girl's heart. yeah, really, it is. and then even more so when Daniel plays the opening chords to untitled, the obvious opener as per usual. and I'm just lost, shifting my eyes back and forth between Daniel, Sam pounding on the drums, Paul intermittently smiling and looking devilish, Carlos and his sexy way of playing the bass, and Eric! oh how Eric looks hot in a pink shirt. really, he does. he can wear pink every day and I think I'd still find him gorgeous. carols stood for a minute, looking for a lighter, and I almost threw mine up, but missed the opportunity to do so when he found someone with a lighter. disappointment, I could've been one to save him! whatever. they played in beautiful procession, but not
necessarily in this order: untitled, say hello to the angels, Roland (which
pleased me, since there was an absence of the new, leif, and Stella,
and the specialist and any new songs that could've been played), PDA,
obstacle 1, & NYC. it was gorgeous. everything about their set was
perfect, if you didn't count the asshole crowd and the shortness of
their set. I really can't say how much i love this band. my love for them
equals my love for Tori. really, and that's saying a lot. practically |
